Answer: Hi Richard, there are many reasons a web site may not rank well in Google for a particular phrase and generally it falls into one of these 2 categories:

1 – Your ON-SITE OPTIMISATION is poor

2 – Your OFF-SITE OPTMISATION is poor

First, let’s address some ‘on-site’ optimisation elements.

The phrase you want to rank well for needs to be in the ‘title tag’ and ‘description tag’ of one of your pages. Without
those, Google doesn’t know what you want to rank well for.

Secondly, the H Tags and the body text on that page need to contain the phrase you want to rank well for. In body text it needs to be listed more than once but not too many times or you’ll be keyword spamming.

Basically, you’re feeding Google the information it needs, so it knows WHAT you want to rank for. You need to do this for EACH of your pages, so it makes sense to have a separate page for each of the products and services you supply. In essence, a page for each phrase you’d like to rank well for.

In your case Richard, looking at your website, you have a ‘one page Word Press theme’, i.e., one page that moves up and down depending on the link clicked. These themes are not a great idea if you want to rank well in Google for several phrases because you only have one title tag and description tag in each page so in a one-page theme you generally only have opportunity to rank well for one phrase.

So that’s one major issue you need to address Richard but let’s also look at your ‘off-site’ optimisation. We just did a few checks, and you have a very low domain authority score of just 7. Domain authority is a score out of 100, the higher the score corresponds to a greater likelihood of ranking well in Google.
